CORLETTS ready-to-use mortars has been manufactured by CORLETTS at Ballaharra Quarry in St.Johns since 1992, and therefore comes with a well-founded and sound knowledge of the products and needs of our customers, who can expect a proven quality product from a quality, manx, family run company.
CORLETTS ready-to-use mortar is a completely factory made ready-to-use mortar, requiring no further mixing on site. It remains fully useable for a specific period, generally 36 hours. The use of ready-to-use mortar greatly reduces on site wastage which may be incurred with production of mortar. Our ready-to-use mortar is delivered by and offloaded from CORLETTS specially designed mortar trucks, into sturdy 0.25 cubic meter capacity plastic tubs and can be used for all types of concrete block and brick laying and for plasters and renders.

All mixing of constituant materials takes place off site under precisely monitored conditions at our mortar production plant at Ballaharra Quarry. The mortar is then loaded into CORLETTS purpose/custom designed mortar trucks already mixed to the proper consistencey.

As ready-to-use mortar is produced at our plant, the product is of very high quality, and this is consistant from batch to batch, unlike site mixing where it is almost impossible to mix the exact consistancy every time.

CORLETTS ready-to-use mortars are (as the name suggests), ready for use upon delivery.This means that there is no mixing required on site. No need for the use or hire of a mixer, no extra labour associated with site mixing is required. No cause for extra breakdown charges, or hold ups to worry about.
· Reduced Wastage
With the use of ready-to-use mortars, the extra work and possible confusion of controling quantities of stocked materials such as sand and cement is taken away, as CORLETTS ready-to-use mortar is acurately measured in cubic metres and delivered to the site. As the need to stock materials such as sand and cement is removed the potential for losses and shrinkage does not occur. The ready-to-use mortar supplied by CORLETTS can also be returned to the tub if the job in hand needs to be halted for a short time period, again saving money.

By using ready-to-use mortars from CORLETTS there is no time spent waiting for the mortar to be mixed, which means you or a team of workers can carry on with other tasks. This can shorten the time in which the job/project is completed, therefore saving money and time.
· Extended Working Life
CORLETTS ready-to-use mortar contains a cement set retarder and therefore workable for an approximate specified time of 36 hours. Materials which are not used within the first day (day of delivery), can be used in day two. This does not effect the use of the mortar; as soon as the mortar is used, it will set in the normal way.
